As the spread of COVID-19 continues to rise, Niantic has taken significant measures to adapt Pokémon GO to allow for isolated and even at home play. We recap the event schedule to let you know what’s on and what’s off, as well as what bonuses and adjustments have been made to mechanics. We hope everyone is taking significant precautions and keeping themselves and their loved ones safe.
The PvP Community has mobilized to take advantage of the lowered remote PvP Friend requirement, including a MASSIVE tournament by GO Stadium, as well as multiple new smaller tournaments. Battlers have wanted a lower friendship requirement for a long time! I wonder if this one will stick! The Lured Up team was also involved in a Niantic promotion called Go Battle with Niantic to promote the launch of GO Battle League Season 1!
Landorus is on its way to five star raids and we talk about the creator profile that we did for G2G.media! We finally Poke the Bear by asking what you thought of Niantic’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis, as it relates to Pokémon GO.
