A new Season is upon us and with it comes excitement, anticipation, and hype, right? You won’t see any of that if you take a look at the feeds of some of the game’s biggest content creators. With claims flying all over the place that the game is dead and that new features are dull, some think the game is in a rut. Others however, are as engaged as ever with a full slate of daily activities filling the gameplay. It is an interesting topic and there are plenty of takes flying around.
With the introduction of Timeless Travels, we have plenty to unpack. From a packed December to some longer term excitement, things already feel better than Adventures Abound. We catch up with the Season opening Hisuian Samurott Raid Day and the unfortunate server issues that happened early on. While not a good look, the event did bring Trainers out to play. We also saw a nice harmony between local and remote Raiders.
Mateo has proven to be a polarizing character. With Twitter seeming to think that Routes and the gift exchange are just another desperate attempt to keep us busy. Some however, like Ken, think that while Routes themselves aren’t a game changing feature, they are an important ingredient to the overall recipe of what can make for a fun outing. It may take a while for Trainers to understand how the local gameplay of today differs greatly from the local gameplay of 2020.
The Catch Mastery event is looking strong and we have the Adamant TIme Event following after that. With a December full of events, it seems off to us that some of the bigger content creators are in a slump. We take a look at Mystic7 and FleeceKing videos and dissect their perspectives about the current state of the game. While they may make some valid points, they are both missing a crucial component in their mix. THE EXPERIENCE. Check out or discussion of what we think of the current sentiment floating around lately.
